1 15.4 ounce cake mix
1 box instant pudding
1 stick melted butter
1 cup milk
½ cup plain Greek Yogurt or sour cream
1 teaspoon of the extract of choice
2 single drink packets of the flavor to coordinate with your cake if desired
Step By Step Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix with your hand or stand mixer until fully incorporated and the batter has become thick.
Pour into your prepared baking pan. One cake mix will make one 9 x 13, 2 9 inch rounds, 2 8 inch square, 1 10 cup bundt pan, 1 10 cup springform tube pan, or 12 cupcakes.
COOK’S NOTE: You should use the flavor cake mix of your choice and a coordinating flavor of instant pudding as well as the drink packets, which are optional but add great flavor. Also use coordinating extract.
Some combinations you may consider are:
Lemon, lemon pudding, 2 sugar free lemonade packets, lemon extract
Yellow cake mix, French vanilla pudding, vanilla powder (found in baking section) vanilla extract
Chocolate, chocolate fudge or Devil’s Food cake mix, chocolate, chocolate fudge pudding, 2 teaspoons espresso powder or ¼ cup leftover coffee, chocolate or vanilla extract.
Spice cake mix, vanilla pudding or pumpkin spice pudding if you can find it, vanilla powder, pumpkin pie spice or apple pie spice and vanilla nut extract
Orange cake mix, French vanilla pudding, 2 orange drink packets and orange and vanilla extract
